By accessing or using TrustedIndex (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TrustedIndex. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use TrustedIndex. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You may not share API keys with unauthorized parties.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit content you do not own or have the right to register.
• Use the API to register false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other access controls.
• Use the Service in a manner that violates any applicable law or regulation.

5. Intellectual Property

TrustedIndex and its original content, features, and functionality are the exclusive property of TrustedIndex and its licensors. You retain ownership of all content you register through the Service. By submitting content hashes, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data to provide the Service.

6. API Usage

Access to our API is subject to rate limits and fair-use policies. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for accounts that exceed reasonable usage thresholds or that abuse the Service. API keys are non-transferable and must not be embedded in publicly accessible client-side code.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustedIndex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Blockchain records created before termination will remain on the ledger and cannot be removed.

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice for significant changes that affect your use.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the jurisdiction where TrustedIndex operates.
